We must vote for visionary, transformational leaders in 9th August- leaders who will bring about change
Cast your vote for visionary and manifestos- leaders of choice
#MyPerspective# ||Wajir politics ||Voting
In barely two weeks, Kenyans(over 15 Millions voters)will go to polls. The elections are very important to the future of this country.
Wananchi will be faced with two choices to either vote for continued or change the leadership. This election will be happening at a time when Kenya is facing a myriad of challenges. First, the hot issue of the skyrocketing cost of living- COVID-19 related setbacks
Kenyans are unable to meet their basic needs. Second, corruption is a monster troubling most Kenyans,a bottleneck to the progress- Both the national and county governments are deeply embroiled in mega graft. Third, devolution which was meant to ensure equal distribution of resources is yet to significantly change lives of Kenyans.
In Wajir county the second term of devolution Went into the drain- with wanton corruption reaped the county- residents were left in limbo leaving under hopelessness. Five years under distress conditions left many to rethink where to sail through politically- despite with negotiated democracy Clan based politics zeal off many rays of hope - source of victory pillar associated factors. residents today have made their minds to who to vote for although the political fraction pivotal a long tribal wheel off. with the pain of closet clan clandestine results majority of voters are on the Keen where to cast their ballot.
Fourth, acute unemployment is choking the conscience of the youth.
Economic is also another factor that growth has not brought relief to the citizens. A majority of the population live below the poverty line. Sixth, environmental management is wanting. Water towers(catchment, massive settlement derailing water source - Wajir county recently went into drying taps as across the county reported shortages of water - tribal clashes and climate change also continued to affect.
Nationaly national cohesion is also a matter of concern among the masses. The political leadership is guilty of dividing the wananchi along ethnic lines.
The Hypocrisy of Political Correctness
Choose leaders with manifesto that can deliver prosperity
Hypocrisy means "insincerity, double standards or two-facedness" and by exposing it, I take no sides by either condoning or condemning any parties involved.
Therefore, the General Election presents the contenders with the opportunity to explain how they intend to deal with these issues. Who has the creative ideas of how to fix the menace both opposition and governing parties.
Wajir residents should vote for transformational leaders with superior vision and capacity to initiate and deliver policies and programmes to meet the critical needs of the people, as well as build a greater county
To end the hotbed of crisis nationally and county level voters should elect leaders who do not only have better vision and focus, but have the strategies and capacity to deliver their ideas to meet the needs of the Wajir people.
WE must give chance leaders who understood the people, adding that effective, transformational and innovative leaders who knew what to do to meet the needs of the citizens for a better society is the solution to the many challenges of the county- we must go against the tides "politics of interest" we must vet as their manifestos and agenda but not to be duped into clans and tribal set-up to favour negotiated democracy while the forgetting the real democracy.
To gain a better society free from corruption we need to build better and stronger institutions that would constantly produce better leaders - this can be practice through the ballot to elect leaders with vision and objectives agenda - transformational leaders are efficient, effective, innovative, purpose-driven with better vision that would eventually transform their followers.
on realizations of a leading Change and building Institutional Legacy as voters we should gear towards an accountable leader who we belive can bring a solution to our challenges.
To the leaders (Will be elected) they we must move away from being transactional to transformational leaders. This is important, because everything stops with leadership in the system, citizens, experience, state welfare and the socio-economic development of the people.
it is all about the quality of leaders to envision a better future and to develop the right systems, processes and strategies to be able to deliver that future- in two weeks time Wajir residents Wil either breath for regrets or hope- it's upon every individual to make change in the coming voting exercises.
For years now poor leadership usually affect the country and the people, due ineffective leader - they slowed down progress in any environment whether in business or public sector environments.
with this noble opportunity in hand we should make a choice that will zip-off loopholes - let's elect leaders with manifestos that end our perennial problems.
Let's not be cajoled by political propaganda, lies it's our constitutonal rights to vote to whoever we feel they are best to led - let's discourage voters bribery to influence people. We must stand against any impunity that breach our rights as citizen of this nation.
To to all voters let's maintain peace, cohesiveness, unity irrespective of the outcome of the destiny come August 9 2022. Together we remain united.
God bless Wajir people, Wajir county.
